Welcome to the website of

the Association of Friends of the Botanical Gardens 'Henricus Munting' (of the Hortus botanicus Haren, Kerklaan 34, 9751NN Haren)

The aim of this Association is to preserve and protect the botanical and cultural-historic importance of the Hortus Haren Botanical Gardens.  The Association also aims to stimulate and promote interest in the Hortus in the broadest sense.

The gardens are located in the town of Haren, near the city of Groningen in the North East of the Netherlands.

On this site you can find a variety of information and the latest editions of the Association’s magazine “Het Vriendenbericht” (in Dutch only).
