Protected Plants
24 gardens, 240 plants, 1 exhibition. From 22 May to 22 December 2015

All of the gardens belonging to the Dutch Association of Botanical Gardens are displaying plants whose survival in the wild is threatened. Of the thousands of plants threatened with extinction worldwide, this exhibition will highlight 240 species. Hortus Haren is participating in this exhibition with 10 plants which deserve special attention.

Sculpture Exhibition 7xSolo
From 23 May until 20 September the Hortus Haren is transformed into a sculpture park.

Friends’ Day on Saturday 30 May 2015
The annual Friends’ Day was a very friendly occasion with an enjoyable atmosphere. The annual accounts were presented and approved, the policies of the Board were accepted and the treasurer was re-elected.

Positive reactions to guided tours
We regularly receive very favourable reactions from visitors to the guided tours around the Hortus organised by our volunteers. There were many compliments during the Open Day and on other occasions during the year. You can find one particular example in this blog.
